I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK

This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

As of today I have completed my 50 miles! 🥳 I will continue adding to my miles throughout the rest of January!

Another little update. Achieved 41.9 miles now. 8.1 miles left before hitting the 50 miles target.

So far I have achieved 15.9miles 11 days into January. Considering I started a little later than expected I am happy with this result.

In Memory of Grandad

Friday 9th Jan
I decided to take on the ‘50 mile challenge this January’ in memory of my Grandad who we sadly lost to dementia in 2023. 
I have a lot of experience working with people with dementia but when it’s so close to home it definitely hits harder. 
I’m looking forward to taking on the challenge & hope to raise enough to take some pressure off family’s who are facing the difficulties dementia can bring.
