I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Hi, I hope you lovely people can support me with this challenge.
As most of you know, in my family, we have a massive history of CVA's - Stroke's. With mum, dad and my sister all having had Hemorrhagic strokes.
When mum was still alive, we had times that she did not recognise us anymore. Which was heart breaking. Even though she was no longer able to communicate, did she more often than not look at us with complete confusion.
My sister had multiple strokes and has been diagnosed with Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy, which is a condition that caused multiple bleeds or clots over time. Now due to this her cognitivity has more and more declined. She finds it very hard to remember even the simplest every day things, like how to do things or things she has to do. Yes she has good and bad days just like the rest of us, but I know deep down that this is only the beginning of this journey.
I mainly do this for not only my family, but for all the other people who are sadly effected by this by this horrible disease.
So a big please help by donating as much or as little as you can afford to this fabulous charity. Every little helps.
Thank you
