I'm walking 62 miles in May

I’m walking 62 miles in May and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

A small challenge for May

Both of my parents had different forms of dementia, so, like so many people, I have first-hand experience of the terrible toll it takes . Dementia Uk does fantastic work,  and I'm delighted to support its work. Did you know in the UK, nearly a million people are living with dementia?
As of early 2025, approximately 982,000 individuals in the UK are living with dementia. This number is projected to rise to 1.4 million by 2040, driven by an ageing population and increased life expectancy. ​
The economic impact of dementia in the UK is substantial, with costs estimated at £42 billion per year in 2024. These costs encompass healthcare, social care, and unpaid caregiving, and are expected to escalate to £90 billion by 2040. ​
So, if you can, please dig deep and help this very worthy and important charity! THANKS xxx
