How do I sign up?

To sign up for the challenge register for your FREE t-shirt and fundraising pack here.

When you register, your fundraising page will be automatically set up for you.

Where and when is the challenge?

This is a virtual challenge so you can do it throughout May - whether that’s two miles a day or several longer walks. You can walk in your local area, park or gym. You can do it together with your family and friends.

Is there an entry fee?

No, taking part in the Walk 62 Miles in May challenge is free!

Is there a fundraising target?

There is no fundraising target for this challenge – we just ask you to raise as much as you can for families affected by dementia.

How do I get my free t-shirt?

Once you register for the challenge and set up a fundraising page, we’ll send your free t-shirt. Please note it may take up to two weeks to arrive.

Can I raise money offline with a sponsorship form?

You certainly can. We’ll send you a sponsorship form in your fundraising pack, but if you need more than one form, simply download and print more copies here.

How can I send in sponsorship money I’ve collected offline?

The easiest way to send cash donations to Dementia UK is by donating to your online fundraising page. Alternatively, you can:

Please email virtualevents@dementiauk.org for your supporter reference number.

Send in a cheque made payable to Dementia UK. Enclose a note including your full name, the email address that you used to register for your t-shirt, and an explanation that you raised the money for the Walk 62 Miles in May challenge. Post it to us at:

How do I keep track of how many miles I've done?

Strava is a free, easy to use app that can track your Miles throughout May. We highly recommend downloading it for this challenge. Be sure to connect the app to your fundraising page, or add your miles manually, to keep your supporters up to date. You will also receive a Walk 62 Miles in May tracker with your fundraising pack, which you can use to tick off your kilometres.
