I'm doing The 36 Hole Challenge for Dementia UK
I’m taking on The 36 Hole Challenge and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.
£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

British Gas supporting Dementia UK
Sunday 8th MarBritish Gas Engineers Take on 36-Hole Golf Challenge for Dementia UK
A group of determined British Gas engineers are swapping their toolkits for golf clubs as they prepare to take on an impressive 36-hole golf challenge in support of Dementia UK.
The challenge, which will see the team complete two full rounds of golf in a single day, aims to raise vital funds and awareness for families affected by dementia across the UK. With determination, teamwork, and a bit of friendly competition, the engineers are hoping their efforts on the course will make a meaningful difference off it.
Why Dementia UK?
Dementia affects hundreds of thousands of families across the country, and the impact reaches far beyond those diagnosed. Dementia UK provides specialist Admiral Nurses who offer expert advice, support, and understanding to families facing the challenges of dementia. Their work ensures that people living with dementia and their loved ones never have to face it alone.
For the engineers taking part, the cause is personal. Many have seen first-hand how dementia can affect colleagues, friends, and family members. By taking on this demanding golf challenge, they hope to raise both funds and awareness for the essential support Dementia UK provides.
The 36-Hole Challenge
Playing 36 holes in one day is no small feat. It requires stamina, focus, and a fair bit of resilience — especially when the British weather decides to make things interesting. From early morning tee-offs to the final putt in the evening, the team will be pushing themselves every step of the way.
But the challenge is about more than just golf. It’s about teamwork, community spirit, and coming together for a cause that matters.
Supporting the Cause
The engineers are encouraging friends, family, colleagues, and the wider community to get behind the challenge by donating and sharing their fundraising efforts. Every contribution helps Dementia UK continue its incredible work supporting families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Whether it’s the price of a coffee or a larger donation, every pound raised will help fund specialist dementia care and guidance.
A Day of Determination
As the team steps onto the course, they’ll be playing with a purpose. Every swing, every hole, and every step taken across the fairway represents their commitment to helping families affected by dementia.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the biggest impact comes when people come together, step outside their comfort zones, and take on a challenge for the greater good.
If you’d like to support the British Gas engineers in their 36-hole golf challenge for Dementia UK, keep an eye out for their fundraising page and follow their progress as they take on this inspiring challenge.
