I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge
💜 Why I’m Walking 75 Miles for Dementia UK 💜
This October, I’m taking on the 75-mile Dog Walking Challenge in memory of two very special women who meant the world to me — my wonderful Grandma and my amazing mother-in-law — both of whom we lost to dementia.
My Grandma was one of life’s true givers. She raised three boys, including my dad, and was always there for others — kind, selfless and good through and through. She deserved so much more than what this cruel disease took from her.
My mother-in-law was another remarkable woman. She dedicated her life to caring for others — from guiding young boys as an Akela in the Cubs, to being a loving mum and grandmother, and even fostering more than 20 babies, giving them love and safety at the very start of their lives. Losing her so quickly and watching dementia take hold was devastating — it’s left a huge hole in all of our hearts.
Dementia is a heartbreaking disease. It steals memories, changes personalities, and affects the whole family — not just the person living with it. It’s cruel, relentless, and something no one should have to face alone.
By taking on this challenge, I want to honour their memory, raise awareness, and support the vital work Dementia UK does to help families living with dementia. Every step I walk, and every pound raised, will make a difference.
I know times are tough for everyone right now, and money doesn’t stretch as far as it used to — but truly, every little bit helps. Even the smallest donation can go a long way towards helping families get the support they desperately need and bringing us closer to tackling this horrid disease once and for all. 💜
Thank you so much for reading and for any support you can give — it means the world. xx

Day 4-11 - Sticks, Zoomies & Grateful Hearts
Saturday 11th Oct
We are just over a week into our 75-mile October Challenge for Dementia UK, and what a wonderful week it’s been.
Milo and the family are so grateful for every single donation and message of support we’ve received so far 💜 - it truly means the world. The weather has been kind to us, with a few lovely warm, autumnal walks full of orange leaves and sunshine… perfect for muddy paws and stick collecting.
Milo has, of course, kept up his signature mad zoomies, but has now added “expert stick collector” to his list of skills 🌲😆
A big thank you to The Kings Head in Cubbington for kindly letting us put up a poster - Milo is one of their furry regulars and loves popping in to say hello 🐶🍻
We’ve even had a generous donation all the way from Australia - from a lovely lady who follows Milo and also his birth mum and dad on social media. The kindness and encouragement from near and far has honestly been so heart-warming 💛
We are now up to around 36 miles — and that’s just from our morning walks. We’ll be making sure to start tracking the rest too so every pawstep counts 🐾
Two people have also kindly handed me cash donations, which I’ve added directly to the fundraising page on their behalf — every contribution, big or small, really does make a difference to families affected by dementia.
Thank you again to everyone who’s supported us so far - we are having so much fun along the way, and we are determined to make every mile matter 💜

Days 1-3 Catchup 💙
Friday 3rd Oct
Sorry for the delay in updating you. We’ve been busy getting those first walks done and are now at 12.5 miles so far (the days miles get added to my page the following day) 🐾
Milo’s not a fan of the rain, so we head into the woods - we go there when it’s hot to stay cool, and we go there when it’s wet to try and stay dry. 😆
There’s already been plenty of muddy rolling and mad zoomies (clearly Milo’s favourite part of the challenge 😅).
Thank you so much to everyone who’s supported us so far — every donation and message means the world 💙 I will keep posting updates as we go (and hopefully share some of the silly videos).
Here are a couple of funny clips of Milo 🐾(if the links don't work pls copy and paste them into your browser)
