I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Updates

my dad my hero

Thursday 7th May
Dementia awareness  in may 31miles in 31day
My dad is my hero, my best friend, and my biggest supporter. He has always been my number one fan in everything I’ve ever done, standing by me through every challenge, every success, and every moment that mattered.
Recently, our world changed when my dad was diagnosed with mixed dementia.
This has been heartbreaking for me and my family, because the man who has always been so strong, active, and full of life is now facing one of life’s toughest battles.
My dad has lived an incredible life. He was a respected referee, giving his time and passion to the sport he loved, and he has achieved so much — including completing five London Marathons, something that shows his determination, strength, and inspiring spirit.
We have shared so much together. We’ve travelled locally and across the country, making memories that I will treasure forever. We’ve always been inseparable, and I honestly cannot imagine life without the man who has been such a huge part of who I am.
Watching someone you love face dementia is painful beyond words, but while my dad is still here, I want to make every moment count. I want to honour him, support him, and do something meaningful in his name.
This page is for my dad — for the fighter, the marathon runner, the referee, my role model, and my hero.
Any support, donation, or share means the world to us and will help raise awareness and support for those affected by dementia.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and thank you for helping me do something special for the man who has given me everything.
