I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Stepping Up for Dementia: Our 30-Mile Challenge
Monday 1st SepOur dad, was diagnosed with mixed dementia in March 2024.
Watching the man who has always been our hero slowly fade before our eyes is something we could never have prepared for. Dementia doesn’t just affect the person who’s been diagnosed — it changes life for the whole family. Every day brings new challenges, moments of sadness, but also deep reminders of love and resilience.
That’s why this September, we — Sue and Dawn — are taking on the 30 Miles in September Challenge. Each mile we walk is not only for Dad, but for every family living with the weight of dementia.
We know times are tough, but if you’re able to sponsor us — even just £1 — it would mean the world. Every donation goes directly towards supporting families like ours, helping fund vital services and research that can make a real difference.
This challenge is more than just putting one foot in front of the other. It’s about raising awareness, spreading hope, and showing that families affected by dementia are not alone.
