Walk 50 Miles in January 2026

I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page

I'm walking 50 Miles this  January to raise funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be super grateful for your support whether that’s a donation or walking with me.

In August 2025 my Mum received a dementia diagnosis and we’ve been grateful for the incredible support we’ve received following that from support workers and nurses, as well as from family, friends and colleagues at work.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference to support families with  practical solutions and emotional support to cope with those affected by Dementia.

Massive massive thanks to everyone, my family, all my friends  and work colleagues who have supported us at this early stage in our 'Walk 50 Milies for Dementia  in January Challenge'.

In August 2025 my Mum received a dementia diagnosis and we’ve been grateful for the incredible support we’ve received following that from support workers and nurses, as well as from family, friends and colleagues at work. It has been tough to watch this unfold.

I'm feeling unbelievably motivated by all the lovely considered messages, my walking friends and your generous donations. With your support Dawn Maclean and I  are off to a strong start!

Today was brutally cold  and I did feel like jelly 🥶  I will power through.

Thank you so very much for supporting us
