Kane and I are taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog Kane and my doggy daycare chums this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

Dementia affected our family directly when my wife Joanne's mum was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and sadly passed away on 30th July 2017 at the age of 71.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Day One

Wednesday 1st Oct
Well today was the first day. 4 miles clocked with the help of Kane, Queenie, Charlie & Murran.

Hike to hit the miles

Monday 22nd Sep
During the month of October, Kane and I are planning some extra activities to increase the miles. One of those is a plan to hike up one of the nearby mountains. This will of course be dependant on the weather gods. Fingers crossed we get some good weather.

Planning out my daily targets

Monday 15th Sep
So, now that I'm committed to this fund raiser, I really need to make sure I can achieve those miles. That means every day in October, I need to cover about 2.5 miles.
I have Kane plus another 15, yes 15 furry friends to help me and you will hear all about them soon!!
