I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Walking for Grandad 🩵💗

Despite the craziness of returning back to school and what feels like a million hobbies I want to raise money in aid of Dementia UK by walking 30miles in September.

Something that is very close to our hearts after watching and supporting my Grandad battle with his journey of Lewy Bodies Dementia and Parkinsons. I was very close to my Grandad and know only too well how difficult this can be for the person going through this difficult journey but also the family around them. 

One thing Grandad loved was walking before it got too difficult so I will be walking for him 🩵💗 whilst trying to raise awareness and support for other families who are going through what we went through as a family.

This challenge starts today, we will be tracking and recording to show my efforts along the way.
