I'm taking part in the November Swim Challenge
I’m taking part in the November Swim Challenge for Dementia UK and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Supporting Dementia UK
As some of you may know, my dad is living with two forms of dementia. I recently spent nine days caring for him while his wife took a well-deserved break. Although he’s still fairly independent, he can no longer drive, struggles with his short-term memory, and often experiences anger and frustration — all symptoms that can be incredibly challenging for him and those who love him.
The support and guidance provided by Dementia UK are absolutely vital for families like ours, offering help to both those living with dementia and the carers who support them every day.
To get fit in my semi-retirement — and to raise much-needed funds for this amazing charity — I’ve signed up to swim 10K this November! I’ll be completing the distance at my local pool, tracked on my swim watch and Garmin. And if I’m feeling brave, I may even tackle part of it in open water (without the wetsuit, of course!).
