I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Last day of walking 75 miles in October with just 5 miles to go I will have hit my challenge 🙌 

Big thank you to everyone that’s supported me, to my lovely friends and family that have supported me on my walks and sponsored me it really means a lot.

This has been tougher than I thought getting all these walks in with the dark mornings, dark nights has been a real challenge. It’s all for such a good cause though.

Rainy morning walk

Tuesday 21st Oct
Set off on a walk this morning , I had hoped to get a few more miles in, but the rain had other ideas! We weren’t exactly dressed for the weather, so instead we took shelter and enjoyed a lovely cuppa at the local tearooms. I think the dogs were secretly grateful for the warmth too!

Moments like these mean so much, time with my dad, who’s living with dementia, he is always upbeat and never fails to put a smile on my face. He loves a walk come rain or shine. It’s a reminder of why I’m raising funds for dementia support, to help others and families like ours cherish these precious moments together thanks to all who have donated so far it really does mean a lot ❤️
