I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge
I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Week 2 done
Thursday 16th Oct So we’ve made the halfway mark & we are getting this done :)) Friday 17th October marks a year since we said our final goodbye to our pop . Dementia is bloody horrible & I wish I could save a million families going through what he / we did . I will forever be proud to be his daughter & often out we will spot a little robin or the church bells will start ringing out , both I take as signs from him as he loved both :)) . Our walks have incorporated errands this week. We was going to pop into the roslin for a cuppa & posh toast the other morning but Lola decided to be sick outside the balcony area & make a real show of us again.so no posh breakfast was had . 😂 46 miles in & im feeling confident we are going to get this shizzle done :))
Week one done :))
Thursday 9th Oct So we are 9 days into this challenge, we unfortunately have missed walking for 3 days , due to the weather or me not doing great with my legs but we have done just under 24 miles & im super proud of us . What with my fat spazzy legs & the girls little legs it’s a challenge. Thank you for the support , encouragement & sponsors . We really appreciate it xx Share

Monday 8th Sep Dementia took my dad from us, when he should have been enjoying his retirement with my mother. Our pop (dad) was diagnosed as we entered the pandemic/ lockdown & because of that had no medical help , no help from memory clinics , nurses , no support at all & as a result deteriorated quickly & died September 2024. I’m determined to do this walk . Many of you know i have an illness that’s left me with lots of vascular problems, my body is filled with stents , my blood doesn’t flow on my right side & my legs don’t work properly & hurt constantly but my trusted steeds olive & Lola have promised to help me push on through:)) we are aiming for 65 miles & if I can get to do more then Brilliant . In memory of our pop Peter Keane . Thank you for reading & please sponsor me & my girls to get this done . I will update regularly with our progress xx ShareThank you to my Sponsors
