I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

My reason to do the walk

Monday 4th Aug
I’ve worked  with people living with Dementia for many years. I’ve worked in both care home settings and in the community. I’ve always found it very rewarding, getting to know our clients and their families and offering support when needed. My world changed in 2017 when my Grandad was diagnosed with Rapid Onset Dementia. I was suddenly on the other side of it. My Grandad passed away within 10 months which was both hard and almost a relief. Many families live with Dementia for many years and need all the support that can be offered.
