I'm running 100K for Dementia UK
This February, I'm running 100K and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.
Dementia is an illness that has affected and still affects my family hugely and I have a first hand account of how much the disease can affect not just the person with dementia, but the people surrounding the person.
My late Grandmother suffered with Dementia for over 13 years and watching her deteriorate was truly heartbreaking.
My Grandad has also suffered with Dementia for over 3 years, so I am witnessing his wellbeing regress also.
I am running for Dementia UK. They are the specialist dementia nursing charity that is here for the whole family. Their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.
Any donation, however small is appreciated so so much, as I know post-christmas, money can be a super-tough thing to come by.
