We’re Taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge 🐾💙

This October, me and Leo are taking part in the Dementia UK Dog Walking Challenge.

We’ve set ourselves the goal of walking 100 miles throughout the month (even though the official challenge is 75!) to really push ourselves and raise funds for families affected by dementia.

Although my nanna was never officially diagnosed, we’re pretty certain she had dementia. I saw first-hand how much it affects not just the person living with it, but the whole family too. Dementia is incredibly hard on loved ones, and that’s why supporting a charity like Dementia UK feels so important to me.

Walking is something me and Leo love doing together. It’s our way to get fresh air, clear our heads, and explore new places. Taking on this challenge will give us the perfect motivation to get out every day, even when October brings dark mornings, wet weather, and muddy paws! Knowing it’s all for such a good cause will definitely keep us going.

• £8 could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK’s free Helpline.
• £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
