November Knitting Challenge 2026

I'm knitting everyday in November for Dementia UK

This November, I'm taking on the Dementia UK November Knitting Challenge by knitting every day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.

Dementia affects millions of people, changing lives in ways that can be overwhelming and heartbreaking. That's why I'm supporting Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity. Their Admiral Nurses provide expert advice, practical support and compassionate guidance to families when they need it most.

Just £33 could fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour supporting a family, helping them understand their options, cope with difficult situations and feel less alone.

Thank you for helping me make a difference this November. Your support means so much. 💙

Recently my mother in law died from Alzheimer’s. She wasn’t quite 74 and had been diagnosed  4 years earlier with quite advanced dementia at that time already.
She was an exceptional crafter, nothing in the art and craft arena that she couldn’t do well. I also have a  love of crafting (not so much with the art!) and got to learn more skills with her.
So, this challenge seemed very fitting, and alongside a few crochet projects & trying to teach some friends how to crochet, I intend to knit twiddlemuffs to donate locally during the month of November.
If you are able to donate, I would appreciate your support. Becki x
