Sunday 2nd NovThis November, I’m taking part in a sponsored swim to raise money for dementia — something that feels very close to my heart.
Dementia has touched my life in so many ways. My Aunty Jean is currently living with it; my gran also sadly suffered with it, and several of my neighbours are affected. Seeing the impact it has, not just on the person, but on their families and friends, has made me want to do something to help.
So this month, as of today!!, I’ll be getting into the pool and swimming to raise awareness and funds for dementia. It’s not about breaking records or going the fastest, it’s about showing up, pushing myself, and doing what I can to make a difference.
Every length I swim will be for those who are living with dementia, for their carers, and for the incredible organisations that provide the help and support families need every single day.
If you’d like to support me, no matter how small the donation, it would mean the world 😌 not just to me, but to everyone affected by dementia. Together, we can help fund care, raise awareness, and bring hope to those who need it most.
