I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Izzy the Shepherd: A Higher Soul Walking for Dementia

I am fundraising for a 75-mile dog walk for dementia with my beloved Izzy. Izzy is a 15-month-old German Shepherd with a kind and pure soul. In my culture, the dog—known as Shwana—is a sacred

representation of Kal Bhairava, the guardian deity who protects humankind from sudden demise.

Izzy has been a wonderful addition to our family, bringing unconditional love, healing, and joy into our lives. Now, together, we wish to extend that love by supporting a meaningful cause—raising funds to fight dementia. Alongside other furry friends, Izzy will walk with me to make a difference.

Our culture teaches us Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—“the world is one family.” With this belief, we are reminded of our duty to care for all beings on this planet. Dogs, as higher souls, vibrate with pure energy, guiding and healing us in countless ways.

I feel deeply honoured that Izzy chose me to be her mum and partner in this journey. Let’s come together and support this cause, helping to bring hope and compassion to those affected by dementia.
