I’m walking 62 miles in May and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

I am setting out to walk 62 miles in May to raise awareness and funds for DementiaUK.
My family has been facing the devastating effects of dementia for the past thirteen years and continues to be faced with an ongoing and slow declining illness.
Sadly, we lost my mother-in-law Barbara at the end of last summer to a combination of Vascular Dementia with Alzheimer’s.
My Father-in-law after thirteen years, is still battling on with Alzheimer’s. We are losing him a little bit more every day as he becomes more withdrawn and distant due to this terrible disease. There is still some recognition when his daughters visit him in the care home, however it is painful for them to see their father, who has always been such a caring and loving man drifting away.
