We did it!

Friday 31st Oct
We’ve reached our walking goal — well, almost… just waiting for Mum’s Fitbit to finish syncing to make it official! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who’s donated and cheered us on. Your support has meant so much to both me and Mum — every step (and paw step!) has been powered by your kindness. ❤️

Here’s what’s happened in our last week of walking:
This week I saw something big pulling something else big. Mum said it was a horse. She got very excited — I could feel it — but I was mostly just confused. She really seems to like those creatures! 🐴
Then, someone called me as brave as a Rottweiler because I was playing and chasing a huge dog! 🐕
I also walked a bit with my half-brother Oliver — and his mum Elaine came along with us too. I was so happy I got the zoomies! I love Oliver. 💛
And today, on our very last walk, I saw cows. I don’t know what it is about them, but I find them so fascinating… even though I can’t stop myself from grumbling a little when I see them. Okay, maybe it’s a small growl — but just a tiny one! 🐄

This has been such a fun experience, and I know we’ll do something like this again. I especially loved the leg massages after each walk and the very good sleeps that followed. 😴🐾

Today's morning walk

Wednesday 22nd Oct

Hi everyone, Benjamin here! 🐾

Wednesday 22nd Oct
Feels like the end of the month is coming up fast — only eight more days to go! Mom was away traveling, but she’s back now, so we’re getting straight back to our walks. Thankfully, the weather’s been kind — as soon as the rain stops and the sun peeks out, we’re off again! 🌦️

A huge thank you to everyone who’s donated so far — your support means the world. Keep an eye out for us as we hit those miles and get closer to our goal! ❤️🐶

We did 30 miles so far! 🐾

Tuesday 14th Oct
Hello friends, it’s Benjamin here again! 🐾

I’m so happy to share another update from my 75 Miles in October challenge for Dementia UK. Up to date, we’ve already done 30 miles! I’m absolutely grateful for all your wonderful donations — you have donated over £200 for Dementia UK so far. Your kind hearts truly keep my paws going. 💙

To make things more fun and interesting, Mum keeps choosing National Trust walks for us. That way, she can support the National Trust too — which we both love. We’ve been to some really amazing places, full of beautiful paths and open spaces, perfect for our long walks together.

I’ve been sleeping so well after all those miles, but every morning I’m still so excited that I wake Mum up earlier than usual, ready to go again. She doesn’t mind too much — she just needs her morning coffee first, and then we’re off on another adventure. ☕🐾

You can follow all my walks and updates on Instagram @BenjaminTheBoyBoy — I’d love for you to join me there.

For those of you who haven’t donated yet, please do if you can. Every penny helps people get support from specialist dementia nurses, who make such a big difference for families. Being a carer for someone with dementia isn’t just emotionally challenging — it’s physically demanding too. Every person living with dementia is different, and they all need specialist support. Carers are often underappreciated, and they truly deserve the help of these wonderful nurses.

Thank you again for all your love and generosity. You’re helping make a real difference — one paw step at a time.

Tail wags and kisses,
Benjamin 🐾

Hello friends, it’s Benjamin here! 🐾 The first few days of my 75 Miles in October challenge for Dementia UK have been amazing. We’ve already covered 13 miles, and I can’t wait to get many more in this week! Every day, we did our usual morning walks — but we made them longer, with a few extra rounds each time. I didn’t mind at all, because I love being outside and exploring. We also went to some new places, which Mum loves doing with me. There’s always something new to sniff, see, and enjoy! On Sunday, we went to Dunham Massey, and it was absolutely lovely. I even saw deer! Usually, I’m not that interested, but this time they crossed the path right in front of me. They were so magnificent — all I could do was stand there and watch in awe. So graceful… though not quite as graceful as me, of course. 😉 Every evening after our walks, Mum gives me a paw and leg massage, which I absolutely adore. It’s the best way to end the day after all that walking — pure relaxation! When I finally curl up for the night, it’s the kind of deep, happy sleep that comes from knowing I’ve been walking not just for myself or for Mum’s fitness, but for such a special cause. Every step helps raise awareness and support for Dementia UK, and that makes my little heart very happy. 💙 I’m also walking with so much love for everyone who has donated so far. You’re all wonderful and have such kind hearts — thank you so much for supporting me. That’s the update from me for now. I’ll be back this Sunday with more stories from my adventures. Until then, make sure to follow me on Instagram and TikTok @BenjaminTheBoyBoy, where you can enjoy all my cuteness in motion! I managed to sign up for 75 miles typing with my toe beans!

Sunday 28th Sep
Hi, it’s Benjamin. I decided my mum needs more exercise and fresh air, so I signed her up to walk 75 miles for Dementia UK.
I don’t know much about miles, but she looked a bit worried. It’s okay though, I persuaded her. Filling out the sign-up form with toe beans was tricky, but I managed.

Mum has worked in dementia care, so this is something close to her heart. She has friends whose family members are affected by dementia, and one of her dear friends sadly passed away with it. We’re walking for them and for every family who shows up with love and strength every single day.

Carers are incredible, but even heroes need help. That’s why we’re raising money for Dementia UK. Their Admiral Nurses support families through the toughest times, keeping them afloat when things feel overwhelming.

Every donation will fuel our paws and feet mile after mile and, more importantly, help families get the specialist care and guidance they need.

Please donate if you can and share our fundraising page with friends and family. You can even bookmark it so you don’t miss our updates.
In return for your support, you’ll get the cutest progress reports, including plenty of photos of me looking fabulous on my walks.

For even more of my adventures, you can follow along on TikTok and Instagram: @benjamintheboyboy

Thank you for cheering us on. Your kindness really helps and will make a big difference for carers and families living with dementia.
