I'm taking part in the November Swim Challenge
This November, I’m taking on the challenge of swimming 10 kilometres to raise money for Dementia UK.
This cause is particularly close to my heart because someone very close to me is currently living with dementia. My sister's dad suddenly passed away from it last year, and I know many others suffering with this awful disease. Seeing someone you love experience this condition brings home just how much it affects not only the individual but also the family and everyone around them.
Dementia changes lives, and families need support, understanding and someone to turn to throughout what can be an incredibly challenging journey.
That’s why I’ve decided to get in the pool and take on 10k this November.
I’ll be swimming 500 lengths at my local pool, one length at a time, with the hope of raising funds to support Dementia UK’s incredible work.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and be hugely appreciated.
