I’m taking part in the November Swim Challenge for Dementia UK and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Im ecstatic this morning to see I have reached my fundraising target.
So appreciative for all who sponsored me and put towards this great charity .... it means the world!
And thank you for all the kind messages, it really did bring a smile to my face (particularly the Deeth message, "little fish" 😂) 🫶🏼💚

There is one last challenge for me to do and that is to increase my activity target.
I'm currently having issues with updating my page, but I'm sure it will get sorted with Eleanors help (Dementia UK).

So as a final farewell for this challenge ....One last swim for the month today, taking me to 12k swimming for the month. Like I said before, i'm not a natural swimmer so....Check me out!!!!😆

Target Smashed

Thursday 27th Nov
Today I reached my target and a little  bit more. I am a proud of myself as I am not a "natural swimmer" as they say and am so self conscious in the water....but my ray of sunshine Mr Mason  cheering me on, I've done it.

I've also had  the support from Eleanor at Dementia UK, sharing stories, sharing best ways to promote my page  and generally cheering me on when I didn't have a clue or felt unwell myself, which just shows how they go above and beyond for others.
I got this support so can you imagine the support people who have Dementia will get....🫶🏼 
Amazing!

It just shows the gloriousness of people in the best way.

Thank you for all who have followed my challenge and donated..... the week is not finalised... I have faith I will reach my target 🙏🏻✨

Cold challenge

Thursday 20th Nov
Today has been a day of beautiful snow!
I didn't let it put me off from going.
I  have asthma and struggled with my breathing with the cold; more so  today whilst in the water.... but this challenge kept me going.

This is such a worthwhile cause and worth every breath of mine 💪  Having lost my Grandma through Dementia, I saw first hand the impact it had on my Grandma,  my mum and  siblings and myself, sisters and cousins. 

At the time there wasn't much information readily available.... but since then there is so much more and through you beautiful people your donations enables this to increase.

Thank you for supporting me through this challenge and thank you for your donations.

App malfunction

A little update, I have completed a further 3k this week but it isnt registering.

Ive really enjoyed getting back into it and pushing myself.

Thankyou for all donations to such a great cause. 
I know my Grandma would be proud 🫶🏼

Delayed but back in action

Unfortunately I have been ill the last week meaning i've had to take a break, but back on it now.

There was a lovely suggestion of reducing the distance but if anyone knows me.... that makes me more determined. 

Bring on the next 2 weeks!
