I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge
I’m walking 75 miles with my dog Alfie this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. Personal reasons have spurred me to do the October walk for Dementia but also to help other families facing this difficult, challenging and heartbreaking disease.
5 years ago we noticed memory, cognitive, personality and behaviour changes in my mum which progressed very quickly. I’m so proud of how my dad has coped and took on all roles such as ‘carer, cook, shopping & secretary’. We are a very close family and are lucky to have each other for support as we adapt to the changes and challenges daily life brings. This disease is cruel and turns your whole world upside down 🥲
