I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Why I am Walking 75 miles in October

Tuesday 14th Oct
This October I (with my faithful puppy Dave) will be walking 75 miles for a cause very close to our hearts. This has been part of our lives for sometime now. Watching someone you love fade behind this cruel disease is utterly heartbreaking - it changes everything. There are moments of sadness, frustration and helplessness but also moments of love strength and quiet victories. 
As full time carers the days can be long and challenging. But knowing we are helping him hold on to his memories even for a little while means everything. Its those small moments that bring a smile. 
We are a team and together  we care and support and we will keep showing up for him and each other.
