I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK
This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Standing by nan every step 💗
Friday 15th MayIn November 2023, our family’s world changed when our nan was diagnosed with dementia. It was something none of us were truly prepared for, and at first it felt confusing, upsetting, and overwhelming. Watching someone you love go through such a difficult journey is heartbreaking, especially when they’ve always been the person holding everyone else together.
But if there’s one thing we’ve learned since that day, it’s how strong our nan really is.
Every day comes with new challenges, yet she continues to fight with courage, determination, and love. Dementia may affect memories and everyday life, but it does not change who she is to us. She is still our nan — caring, funny, strong, and deeply loved by everyone around her.
As a family, we’ve seen how important support and awareness are for people living with dementia. There are so many families across the UK facing the same battle, often feeling alone and unsure of where to turn. That’s one of the reasons we want to raise money and awareness — to help support the incredible work being done for dementia care, research, and families like ours.
This fundraiser is for our nan, but it’s also for every family affected by dementia. Every donation, share, and message of support means more than words can say. It helps bring hope, comfort, and awareness to a condition that impacts so many lives.
Although dementia has changed many things, it will never take away the love we have for our nan or the memories we continue to make together. She is still fighting, and we will be beside her every step of the way.
Thank you for supporting our nan and everyone affected by dementia. 💗
