Swimming 15KM in Memory of Nanny Mo Mo
Monday 3rd NovThis swim is in loving memory of my wonderful Grandmother-in-law, Nanny Mo Mo — a special lady who was kind, caring, and loved her family to pieces. She had a warmth that filled every room and a wicked laugh that made everyone smile.
Our little boys adored their time with her — especially when she helped them put pound coins into their money boxes. Watching them giggle as the coins fell through is a favourite memory.
In her later years, Maureen lived with dementia — a cruel and heart breaking disease that slowly took parts of her away, though her kindness and love never faded.
We miss her very much. This 15km swim is my way of honouring her memory and raising awareness for those affected by dementia.
