I'm walking 62 Miles in October for Dementia UK

This October, I'm walking 62 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Too Young

Tuesday 22nd Sep
So I drunkenly signed up for this, but once I sobered up I thought I want to still do this. It isn't even about raising the money although that would be great, for me its about raising awareness of Early Onset Alzheimer's My mum Kay as many of you know her has had EOA for around 10 years now although only got diagnosed 4ish years ago she was 52 when she started showing signs and after soooo many different doctors appointments and us being told she's too young for dementia, its either thyroid or depression! All those years she could of been taking medication to slow it all down that we missed! so now we have our mum who's 62 wheelchair bound and cant really speak to us we don't even know if she knows us now! I suppose what I am saying is always push for second third or even forth opinions if you think something is wrong!
