I'm doing Winter Reading Challenge for Dementia UK
This winter, I'm reading and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

My ‘Why’
Thursday 17th Sep As you all know, my Mum had Early-onset Alzheimer’s. It was a challenge that we as a family took on with open arms.My mum was the light of my life. She never let Alzheimer’s hold her back & often joked about her symptoms, with “Hands up who’s got Alzheimer’s” being one of her favourite jokes!
Although Mum passed away mainly due to Covid, Alzheimer’s had a huge play in her passing. At the age of 19 I had to navigate life without her & without professional support. Dementia UK offers people who are in the same situation, professional & emotional help.
I’d hate for anyone else to go through the stress & anguish we did as a family. So that is why I’m choosing to join the reading challenge this winter.
