In Irene’s footsteps
I love walking and so did my mum. She could walk for miles with my dad. Sitting on benches along the way, watching the world go by, until dementia took that ability from her. The wheelchair gave her a new prospective. We would walk her to places she liked to go, until dementia took her for the last time on my birthday last year. 😢 The 2nd of January would have been my mum’s birthday and what better time but to walk some miles in memory or her. Obviously the aim is to help raise funds to help ensure nobody faces dementia alone, But I have my personal reasons too.. I appreciate it’s not the easiest of months to donate, but any contribution , however big or small, WILL make a difference.❤️

Sunday 1st Feb To everyone who has donated or supported us on our journey. We didn’t expect to raise anything like we have…especially so soon after Christmas. Mum would have been so proud of what we’ve achieved.
40 miles
Thursday 22nd Jan Just over 40 miles walked and 9 days to go. Weather hasn’t been the nicest this week, but mums memory pushes me on to the finishing line. That and the support from our friends donations and kind words. We will never forget this support.xx Share

Tuesday 13th Jan 23 miles in 13 days . My knee is so much better. Weather hasn’t been the easiest but we keep going. My dad is my inspiration. 💙💛 Share

Thursday 8th Jan ….and going strong even after a little knee twinge 2 days in. 🤦🏼♀️I think we’ve had all sorts of weather this week. From beautiful sunshine, snow and ice and now the storm that’s brewing. We will not be broken….all for you mum.🩷 Share
