I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

For those affected by dementia

Wednesday 24th Sep

This October, Jade and I are taking on a big challenge together: walking 75 miles across the month to raise money and awareness for dementia.

Dementia isn’t just about forgetting, it steals independence, changes personalities, and breaks hearts. Families are left watching their loved ones fade away piece by piece, and right now there just isn’t enough support or answers. That’s why we want to do something meaningful, however small it might feel compared to the scale of the problem.

Between the two of us, we’ll be walking every mile with determination, through rain, wind, tired legs, and probably a few blisters. On average it works out at around 2.5 miles a day, or 3.4 miles if we split it Monday - Friday, but what really matters isn’t the distance; it’s what those miles can achieve.

Our aim? Raise as much as we possibly can. Every donation will go towards vital research, better care, and support for the families who need it most. Even a few pounds can make a difference, and if you can’t donate, simply sharing our challenge or cheering us on will mean the world.
