November Knitting Challenge 2026

I'm crocheting everyday in November for Dementia UK

This November, I'm taking on the Dementia UK November Knitting Challenge by crocheting every day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.

I am going to attempt to make a Fidget Blanket and I'll donate it to the last care home that dad was in.

Dementia affects millions of people, changing lives in ways that can be overwhelming and heartbreaking. That's why I'm supporting Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity. Their Admiral Nurses provide expert advice, practical support and compassionate guidance to families when they need it most.

Just £33 could fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour supporting a family, helping them understand their options, cope with difficult situations and feel less alone.

Thank you for helping me make a difference this November. Your support means so much. 💙

My Updates

First update

Funding for the one Admiral Nurse in Cumbria was removed last year, leaving a county with one of the fastest growing and largest elderly populations without specialist support.

When I needed advice, I called Dementia UK and an Admiral Nurse picked up the phone.  It was amazing.  We need this service.
