I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

This October I’m taking on Dementia UK’s Dog Walk to raise funds for specialist dementia nurses who support families facing dementia.

Dolly, Doris and I will be walking 75 miles in October braving the wind and rain and hopefully enjoying some autumnal sunshine too. Since being diagnosed with long COVID and fibromyalgia, finding a physical challenge that felt achievable yet meaningful has been important to me. Walking with the pups is something I can do whilst pacing myself carefully while still pushing to get to 75 miles —and it gives me the chance to give to a cause that is so desperately needed.

Dementia has touched the lives of many people I love, and I’ve seen first-hand how vital the right support can be. Every step I take is for them and for the families who rely on Dementia UK’s incredible Admiral Nurses.
