I'm swimming to raise money for Dementia Research
Many of you will know that my Dad suffers with dementia. He's in a wonderful care home but his later years have been stripped from him, and from us, by this cruel disease. I know so many people who have had, or are still struggling with, the same experience. I’m therefore taking part in the November Swim Challenge for Dementia UK and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support to help find treatment and maybe a cure for this disease that could hit any one of us.
£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling the free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Well done Helen. It’s a terrible disease that has a terrible outcome. Everyone should donate as it’s future proofing. We are all living longer and the unfortunate reality is the dementia is on the horizon for many of us.
