I’m taking part in the November Swim Challenge for Dementia UK and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Getting there - with my extension of  December to get finished   My page is still open if anyone is feeling  generous- if just off to swim another kilometre

Tuesday 2nd Dec
Late afternoon swim today. I was the only person in the outside pool and it was wondrous.

Thursday 27th Nov
Did another kilometre today. Took me just under 50 minutes  -  it was quite cold outside so I got shifting!  Need to figure out how to add my distances to the board on my page.

Hit a snag

Wednesday 5th Nov
Unfortunately I’ve developed a heavy cold and  minor chest infection so I’m not swimming at present. 
I’ve been in touch with my mentor at Dementia UK and I’m extending  my challenge into December. 
Many thanks to those who are supporting me with encouragement and those who have sponsored me. 
I’m supporting a very  important cause and I will do my best to raise as much money as possible.

Early start

Thursday 30th Oct
I started my challenge early as I have a chiropractor treatment every 4 weeks and I can’t swim for a few days after that. I’ve done half a kilometre today and realised how far 15 kilometres actually is!!
Back to the pool tomorrow to see what I can achieve.
