I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Wellies weather for the final weekend

Friday 31st Oct
Took to the road again for more walkies.
Today we're in Banbury and is a wet and blustery one.
Chas doesn't mind though, and I've got my wellies with me, so it's all good.

Chas has no fear!!!

Sunday 26th Oct
Today, we went up into the high walkway at Tower Bridge. Chas loved it, the glass floor doesn't phase him at all!

1st weekend away

Monday 6th Oct
As well as raising money for Dementia UK, this challenge is a reminder to me to get out and enjoy walking. It's a great benefit to physical and mental wellbeing.
This weekend, the weather looked pretty iffy, with much of the UK experiencing strong winds and storms.
So I hunkered down for a couple of days and then jumped in the van with Chas, hit the road and ended up in Norfolk.
I wanted to spend a bit of time here this weekend as it marks the 5th year anniversary of losing my brother.
I had a lovely walk through the old parts of Kings Lynn before heading up to Hunstanton.
The sun came out and blessed us with some brilliant walking weather.
I've got a couple of miles to make up, but I'm hoping to significant ly add to my total today.
Please, if you can spare anything to donate to this amazing charity, it would mean the world to me and Chas and we will be doing a happy dance if we reach our target. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference to the work that Dementia UK can do.
