I’m taking on Fans vs Dementia and raising funds for support in memory of my wonderful mum, who sadly passed away last year after a two-year battle with dementia at the age of 90.

Dementia is a cruel disease that slowly takes away memories, independence, and precious moments with the people we love. Watching my mum's decline over those two years was heartbreaking, but throughout it all she remained deeply loved by her family and friends.

My mum lived a long life filled with kindness, strength, and love. She touched the lives of so many people, and her warmth, wisdom, and sense of humour will never be forgotten. Although dementia changed many things, it could never take away the love we shared or the impact she had on those around her.

By supporting this fundraiser, you will help fund vital research, improve care and support for those living with dementia, and bring hope to families facing the same journey.

Every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated and is a meaningful way to honour my mum's memory.

During the course of 90 minutes, 30 people in the UK will develop dementia. 

£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.

£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
