I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK
This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

The end is in sight!
Saturday 24th Jan So this week has been a week! There have been funerals and hospital admissions not to mention bad weather but still we plough on. I did three miles in the rain earlier and now only have seven left to complete the challenge. Thank you to everyone who has donated it means a lot! Share
Over half way!
Monday 12th Jan I am now over half way through my miles and have embraced going out whatever the weather (although the dog would rather skip the wet walks and stay in with the log burner going!). Thanks for your support, every little helps. This is such an awful disease and such a good cause x Share
Good Start!
Saturday 3rd Jan So three days in and totalled 9.5 miles so far. I am counting actual walks rather than the walking I do generally (like hiking around the fields for the horses) so getting plenty of exercise! Share
Why?
Thursday 25th Dec I am undertaking this challenge as it is a cause close to my heart. I have watched this disease slowly cause such pain and distress, especially for those around the one suffering. I want to raise money and awareness so no one has to go through something so challenging alone.Thank you to my Sponsors
