Week 1 walk

It’s our first week of walking for dementiaUK, and Khola and I had to start before October as I was away for a part of it (is that cheating?!) …
Anyway, our stats are as follows (approximately) 
- Total Miles: 12.5 miles
- Total Steps: Approximately 25,000 steps 🖤🐾

WALKING WITH KHOLA!

Thursday 11th Sep
I’m going to walk 75 miles in October with Khola for Dementia UK. Today on our walk (1/2 in sun, 1/2 in rain like a monsoon, an attractive look), it occurred to me how great it would be to invite my gorgeous friends to come and do a  walk with me (don’t worry I’m not walking 75 miles in one day…). Walk & Talk. A sort of podcast. Except no-ones  recording it. Or filming it. And there’s no podcast content. It’s not a podcast. It’s just us, having a chat and walking really. Let’s clash diaries!

Saturday 30th Aug
So, here we are.  It’s nearly September 2025 and I’ve committed Khola and I to walk 75 dog walk miles (which is 75 miles btw) in October to support people living with dementia  and their families/support groups.  Khola isn’t exactly aware of this yet, as I’m in Glasgow visiting family and she’s being spoilt rotten by our house sitter in Worthing with better weather. But, honestly she never says no to a walk so who am I kidding?! 
I’m not asking anyone to donate, times are tight I know, but if you follow or share my  ridiculous musings, I hope more awareness can be shared. 
We are also walking in memory of my beloved Lally who died 7 years ago this coming month.  I miss her and think about her when I walk.
