I'm taking part in the November 15k Swim Challenge
I’m taking part in the November Swim Challenge for Dementia UK and raising funds for families affected by dementia.
I worked for many years, caring for people with Dementia and now work as an Administrator for our local Admiral Nurse among other community services within the NHS so its a subject that i have always felt very heavily linked to.
And as a bonus, I love to swim and will be attempting to swim most of the 15k in the sea!
£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Wednesday 26th Nov Finishing today on 15.4km. This has been far more challenging than i anticipated due to having to plan a very last minute house, job and school move!😅 But ive really enjoyed it! Massive special thanks to my colleagues at Dorset Healthcare (and ex colleagues!) who carried me comfortably to my target fundraising amount! Youre all legends!! ❤️ Share

Sunday 9th Nov Just over a third of the way there! Todays swim was COLD! The sea was beautiful but very choppy and the rain really topped it off! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far, i really appreciate the support. Share

Saturday 1st Nov First swim of the challenge today and im starting off very comfortably, in the luxury of The Nici hotels, heated outdoor pool as im away with Lauren for my Birthday!
