November Knitting Challenge 2026

I'm knitting everyday in November for Dementia UK

This November, I'm taking on the Dementia UK November Knitting Challenge by knitting every day and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.

Dementia affects millions of people, changing lives in ways that can be overwhelming and heartbreaking. That's why I'm supporting Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity. Their Admiral Nurses provide expert advice, practical support and compassionate guidance to families when they need it most.

Just £33 could fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour supporting a family, helping them understand their options, cope with difficult situations and feel less alone.

Thank you for helping me make a difference this November. Your support means so much. 💙

Being prepared!

Friday 23rd Oct
I have the yarn. I have kitties also mucking about in the yarn! Then I needed needles!! Oh no can’t find mine they’re all sewing ones…:🤦‍♀️
So imagine my delight and sharp intake of breath when I came across my Mums knitting  bag!! 🤭Mum was the best knitter….she made a Clanger once it was amazing!
Sadly Mum hasn’t been able the knit since suffering a massive life changing brain injury. Six letters do no fully outline the impact on her and my dads lives . Stroke.
Dad cared for Mum at home from day one - until
he was no longer able too.
Dad is always  Dad but is now living with Lewy Body Dementia.
I’m knitting 🧶 in November as he’ll celebrate his 78th birthday. Also for my Mum but my creations on wool will be in the shadows compared to her creations. I’m doing it for both of them as they celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary in February ‘26 -  hope they like the woolly tablecloth and napkins!! 🤩🤩🤩♥️
