I'm walking 62 Miles in October
Tuesday 30th Sep Working in care, I see first'hand the impact dementia hasnot just on the person living with it, but on their loved ones too. Dementia changes lives in ways many don’t see, and that’s why taking on this 62-mile walk feels so close to my heart. For me, it’s not just about covering the distance. Every step I take represents the strength, patience, and courage I witness in the people I support every day. It’s about honouring their journeys, their memories, and their dignity.
Walking 62 miles will be a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by those living with dementia. This walk is my way of showing love, respect, and solidarity and of reminding families that they are not alone in this.
With every mile, I’ll carry the stories, smiles, and struggles of the people I care for. And with every mile, I’ll hold onto hope for better awareness, better support, and one day, a cure. Share

Happy walking
