I'm walking 62 miles in May

I’m walking 62 miles in May and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Stepping Up For Dementia UK

Saturday 19th Apr

Hi everyone, Dean here.

I'm reaching out today with a heartfelt request. I've decided to take on a 62 mile walk to raise vital funds for Dementia UK, and it's a cause that's very close to my heart.
Like many, I've witnessed firsthand the profound impact of dementia.  It's a condition that affects not only the individual but also their families and loved ones, and the support and expertise that Dementia UK provides are absolutely crucial.
Dementia UK offers specialist support and guidance to families facing dementia through their Admiral Nurse service. These incredible nurses provide the compassionate, person-centred care that makes such a difference during incredibly difficult times. The money I raise will go directly towards enabling Dementia UK to continue and expand this essential work, offering a lifeline to more families who need it.
Taking on this 62 mile walk is a challenge for me, but it pales in comparison to the daily challenges faced by those living with dementia and their carers. Knowing that I can contribute in some small way to making their journey a little easier is a huge motivation.
That's where you come in! I would be incredibly grateful for any sponsorship you are able to offer, no matter how big or small. Every single donation will make a real difference to families affected by dementia.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and generosity. It truly means the world.
Warmly,
Dean 🙏🏻❤️
