This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Why I'm walking 30 miles and beyond for Dementia

Most of my life all I can associate it with is the horrible ways dementia can take a family and shred them all to pieces while they watch their loved ones go from a happy fun loving person to a shell of themselves nothing but death ahead and believe me going to visit is just as hard ,but these are your loved ones so you put on a smile, and do it,

I lost my mum to the symptoms of this illness as a teenager and again when she passed,the same thing happened to my brother and sister I turn 50 this year and I am thankful I have not shown anything but the fear is always there so I pray one day they can cure it and my children, grandchildren and those to follow will never suffer like our family

This is why I am walking and hoping if people can spare a few pounds to go to an amazing charity
