I'm walking 62 miles in May

I’m walking 62 miles in May and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

It's been a difficult 5 years since Mum's diagnosis and being an unpaid carer has been hard and I've  often felt like a failure as a Daughter. Through times when carers just havent worked for Mum it has been stressful to say the least. The decision for Mum to go into a home was hard but it has been the right one for Mum and for me. Mum is now in a routine has lovely carers the home is fantastic she is joining in activities and eating well and being looked after properly and most of all Mum is happy.I can't thank Heathside enough.
I want to help raise money to support families like ours.
