Today I swam 70 lengths to make up for last week. I had the pool all to myself and could sang along to the radio without upsetting anyone….. it was great!!!

The biggest challenge for me this week hasn’t been the swimming it’s been getting in the water !!! The heat pump has been broken and it’s been freezing 🥶 🤣……. But I did it 🥳

My swimming challenge

There only 4 more day till I start my 10mile swimming challenge for dementia uk.

I am planning on swimming 50 lengths ( of a 20 metre pool ) 4 times a week have been very busy over the past few weeks training very hard building up my stamina and speed !!

I am swimming for dementia uk in honour of my amazing mum. Watching someone you love live with dementia is incredibly hard. My my

Was strong caring and full of life and seeing dementia slowly take pieces of her was heartbreaking.

That’s why I’m taking on this challenge to raise money for dementia uk, whose specialist admiral nurses give familles the help and understanding they need. They make such a difference to people living with dementia and to those who care for them every single day

Every stroke I swim Is for my amazing mum - and all families facing dementia.

If my challenge can raise even a little awareness and support, it’s all worth it.
