I'm taking part in the November Swim Challenge
This November, I’ll be swimming 15km to raise money for the Dementia UK — a cause that has become very close to my heart.
Earlier this year, my wonderful Grandma was diagnosed with dementia. Watching someone you love start to lose pieces of themselves is incredibly hard, and it’s something no family is ever quite prepared for.
Recently, my sister completed the Memory Walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society in support of Grandma — and now it’s my turn to take on a challenge of my own. I’ve decided to swim 15km throughout November, no matter how cold the water gets or how tired I feel. Every stroke will be for Grandma, and for all the families who are affected by dementia every day.
Dementia UK does incredible work funding research, supporting people living with dementia, and helping families find hope and guidance when they need it most.
If you’re able to, please consider donating to my challenge. Your support will not only motivate me to keep swimming on the tough days, but it will also make a real difference to those living with dementia and their loved ones.
Thank you so much for reading — and for helping me swim towards a future where no one has to face dementia alone. 💙
