I'm taking part in the November Swim Challenge
During the month of November, I'll be swimming a cumulative 10k for Dementia UK, in honour and memory of my sweet dad, Graham. My dad came to every swim meet, and dealt with my foul moods while driving me to morning practices at 6:00am (and he always woke me up singing). He was a pool deck celebrity, a king of carpool, an encourager of doing butterfly at the beach or in hotel pools, a giver of swim advice (even though when he tried to do flutter kick himself, he'd go backwards). More than anything, he was the backbone of my confidence in the pool, and my favourite person in the world. I'm swimming this November for my dad, my mum, and all families that have been affected by Dementia. If you are able and would like to, it would mean the world to me if you could donate 🙂
£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Monday 17th Nov Another 1500m done, so up to 3.5km now! Felt a cold coming on so cut things a wee bit short, and have had to take a bit of my break. Enjoying my swims and also using them as a time to think about my sweet Dad and our poolside adventures. Share
