I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Update- Casey’s angels

So today marked the start of the “walk your dog 75 miles for dementia UK” 
But unfortunately I sustained an injury (ironically from when  Scout ran into me 3 weeks ago) and today my GP has put me on rest as he suspects I’ve torn my meniscus in my knee… for 8-12 weeks. No walking or standing for longer than 15/20 mins at a time, 

So after lots of tears I realised I couldn’t do my walk. 
Then something magical happened- my best friends all rallied round and have said they’d take the walk on for me. And I’ve cried a whole lot more 😫😭

I really hope those who have donated already that you don’t mind that it’s a team of beautiful girls rallying around their heart broken little best friend to complete this- I’m beyond gutted as you know it means so much to me to do this walk. 
If you’d like your donation back- of course I’ll arrange it. 
But if you’re happy to let my little team of angels replace me then I’ll be very grateful. 

I have a feeling my guilt for failing this year may make me do something extravagant next year….

Me and Scout have signed up to do something close to my heart this October 💙

We’ll be walking 75 miles (yes, through all the rain, wind, and generally orrible weather October throws at us!) to raise money for @dementia_uk.

As many of you know, my wonderful nanny is living with dementia. She’s still the life and soul of the party, but this cruel and heartbreaking disease has changed our families lives so much. Dementia UK provides incredible support to families who are going through such difficult times.

So, if you can spare a few pennies to cheer me on as I get soaked on rainy walks—and encourage Scout to swap her cosy sofa for muddy miles—we’d be so, so grateful 🖤🤍 

I’ll pop the link up every day to pester you all until you give me all your money! I know times are tough for everyone at the moment and I promise in return I’ll post selfies of us looking like little drown rats to try and spread some cheer as a thank you!
